I came to Pahrump in summer of 2008, excited about the opportunities that this community presents. As a City Manager in northern Nevada for eight years, I had heard of Pahrump and all its potential. When the Town Manager position became vacant, after researching further, I saw for myself the promise that is literally too great to describe.
The Town is located just a short drive from Las Vegas and major southern California communities. Pahrump is developing an Airport, a 426-acre recreational paradise for all ages Pahrump Amusement & Recreation Complex (PARC) and has plenty of room to grow. After learning of the community’s passion to expand into the Tourism field, my goal was to get hands on to help drive the Town forward.
How could I help this enormous potential, which first energized me, to grow? We have hired a Community Business and Development Services Manager, and the Chamber of Commerce has opened a Convention & Visitors Bureau. Pahrump embraces new business with open arms!
