Apply For A Business License

The following is provided to assist you in obtaining a business license in the Town of Pahrump.

Requirements:

Before issuing a business license, the Town of Pahrump requires the completion of a simple application and that the business complies with all other Federal, State and County regulations.

Where Can I get a Business License Application?

You can download a Pahrump Business License at the bottom of this page,  or you can stop by the Town Office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday:

Important Note:

Do not sign any Business License applications unless you are in the presence of a qualified Town of Pahrump Representative or Associate. If the documents are signed elsewhere, they will require notarization before submitting to the town office.

Fees:

The Town of Pahrump charges a $50.00 fee for a business license. The license is valid for one year from the date of issue. Business licenses for Non-Profit Corporations are $5.00 a year.

A fee of $5.00 is required for replacement of your Business License or to reprint a license when a physical or mailing address change is made.

Exemption:

An exempt license does not require a fee but must meet all other State, County and Town requirements.

In order to obtain an exempt license, a casual business must meet all of the following requirements:

• Must be a sole proprietorship, operating on a casual basis, and have a gross income during a 12 month period that does not exceed $10,000.
• Does not have employees, partners or helpers.
• Does not require a professional license, permit or certification by the State of Nevada or any Federal Agency for the conveyance of a product or services to be rendered.
• Does not rent, lease or maintain an office, building or facility for the conveyance of products or services.
• Does not advertise in any fashion (including business cards, telephone book, flyers, posters, signs or catalogs).
• Has satisfied all Nevada Revised Statutes and Nevada Administrative Codes for the type of business.
• Agrees to furnish all records associated with the business for audit or review by an accountant within 10 days of receipt of a written request from the Pahrump Town Manager.
