Volunteers needed in COVID-19 Vaccination effort

Nye County is asking for more residents to become COVID-19 vaccination volunteers as dose availability and the numbers of vaccination Points of Dispensary (PODs) expand.

County Emergency Management and its vaccination partners seek Pahrump residents to serve in administering the COVID-19 Vaccine, including injections.

Under State Directive 011, more medical professionals can apply to become volunteers to help administer the Vaccine. The list includes nurses, pharmacists, dentists, and veterinarians.

People wanting to volunteer can apply at and choose between groups, such as the Battle Born Medical Corps and the Medical Reserve Corps.

While volunteers are needed mainly in Pahrump, residents are also being asked to volunteer throughout the County.
